Come Join Us!

Hey, we’ve got a blog! 🙂

Our English bible study group here in Dresden has been meeting for over five years, but this is the first time we’ve branched out to the internet.  It’s perfect timing , too, since we’re about to start studying out of a new book!  Beginning February 2nd, we will meet every Monday, starting at 7:30 p.m. at our friend Marion Krüger’s place in Johannstadt-Süd, Dresden.    Just contact us so that we can be expecting you and give you more exact directions to her apartment.  And don’t worry if you can’t make it every week; we are a very open and flexible group–just check back here to see what you missed!

So what will we be studying?  Our next book is The Case For Christ, by Lee Strobel.

Here is a description from the back of the book:

Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools like Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis who are recognized authorities in their own fields. Strobel challenges them with questions like How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence exist for Jesus outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event? Strobel’s tough, point-blank questions make this remarkable book read like a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it’s not fiction. It’s a riveting quest for the truth about history’s most compelling figure. What will your verdict be in The Case for Christ?

Whatever background you come from, we’d love to meet you and hear your thoughts.  We hope to see you soon!
